Letter: “Concert was masterful”

Letter to the Editor published in the Tuscaloosa News, April 29, 2012:

The recent Sunday afternoon presentation by the Prentice Concert Chorale and Orchestra of The Mass in B Minor (Messe in H-Moll) by J.S. Bach, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church was both brilliant and masterful. Bach’s composition is generally considered to be the greatest single choral work in existence and has never been presented with any greater precision, style and exquisite talent than this fine group of singers and musicians.

Our city of Tuscaloosa is indeed fortunate to have a musical group as talented as the Prentice Concert Chorale. It’s musical director and conductor, Dr. Leslie S. Poss, is certainly to be congratulated and appreciated for a wonderful afternoon of entertainment and spiritual inspiration.
